WinALDL
Has anyone tried building a cable and hooking up their laptop to their ECM using WinALDL? I know that this is more of a DIY PROM topic, but I was curious what V6 guys have been able to do with such things. I just built a cable today and hooked my laptop up to my 2.8 in my s-10. Can't wait to see what I find on my 85 this Saturday.

While I'm at it. What is there for chip burning for an 85 2.8mpfi? I couldn't find anything in a search on the boards. I'm interested in learning it myself, not buying a chip from someone else. (yeah, I do everything on that car myself.

Which schematic did you use? I know there's a few out there. I keep meaning to dig my old computer out of the basement- I don't want to hook the cable up to my new laptop.

I used the second schematic with the DTR pin as the 12V source.
