HP gains from P/S Headers
Is P/S going to test a car and find gains from the new exhaust set up?
If not does somebody who is planning on getting them have acess to a dyno so they can get this?
If not, and the board wants to come up with the money for me to get headers and before and after dyno tests, I would gladly do it
I am very curious as to what kind of gains these are going to be making.
Anybody who already has headers: what kind of gains did you make?

No headers here, but if you checkout firebirdv6.com/camarov6.com, there are lots of peeps w/the 4th gen 3.4 cars w/Pace Setters.

I say you will gain a solid 10 HP from start to finish of RPM scale. My guessing (as the 2.8's don't "push" much exhaust air as a 3.1 or even a 3.4)
BUT BEST PART IS
The better, quicker throttle response
AND PROBABLY
The limits of the MPFI induction unit will finally be shown!
The RPMS & POWER should be solid for atleast another 500 RPMS due to better pipe breathing.
And also realize that
70% of this site members have aged engines not freshly rebuilt.
Other 30% is a total mix of fresh or swapped long blocks, various sizes. My guessing, not scientific at all.
Thus one HP Gain "answer" will not really be same as another.
Meaning, I seriously expect my 3.4 powerplant to gain most from exhaust system upgrade. An aged 2.8 MPFI will gain the least and it may hurt that aged 2.8 in the end, due to loss of some bottom end torque off line.
When dealing with aged drivetrains, lots of varibles do come into play for end result HP numbers.
And the civil discussion begins.....
