tpi and tbi??

tpi and tbi??

i have a 1990 camaro rs v6 3.1L stock. am i tbi or tpi? and wuts the basic difference?

Technically

Actually you are MPFI, but it is similar to TPI. Pretty much the same, just diff name. TBI is more like "low-tech" fuel injection. In TBI units, fuel is injected like how fuel is delivered through a carburetor. In TPI/MPFI, fuel is injected right above the intake valve.

what he means is that tbi is the bastard child of when got knocked up by a fuel injector. "Better" than carb, not as good as real FI.
