help, how do i get distrubitor out when i have no hold down bolt

help, how do i get distrubitor out when i have no hold down bolt

theres no bolt hllding it down but it wont come up, i have the cap and rotr and all that off

did u twist it? if u twist then that gear spins sorta and it comes up........twist it counter-clockwise

after 18 years, they are hard to get out.

I have heard of some people being able to hoist the engine out with the distrib because it is in so tight.

No problem! Near the base of the distributor there is the connector for the cold-start injector. It has a silver wire on the outside of the connector. Squeeze the silver wire "inward", and pull the connector off. Now pull up the distributor!

yeah tom, i took out the plug for the cold start injector, what i did was that i couldnt find that damn hold down bolt, what a place it's in, but after that i got it out, still wasn;'t easy to pull up but it came
