need help with the carpet
Today i put the new carpet in the car but it seens to have only one hole(for the shifter)so my question is. Do i have to cut the other holes and how can i make this carpet to stick on the floor pretty good?
Much easier way!
Go get an Awl.
Lay down the carpet in ride.
Poke thru until ya find the hole, flip over, cut a "SMALL "X"!, until proper sized.
Cut from back "due to strong substrate" & difficult to cut thru. And "no" loose threads.
Work from Tranny area, outward.
DO BOTH tranny sides "first", "secure" there with "bolts", then do door sill part.
Nothing will shift & all carpet/holes lay "correct".
LEAVE CARPET OUT IN SUN for a day, to "loosen up".
Bet it will look great.
Yeah 3m stuff is primo. Cure glue & remove fumes with open windows for a day & possibly night time, too.
Make sure ya got the undergarment "jute" in first! or all holes will be "off".
I can't wait to replace my carpet. I got "new" used for $30!

KED85 is right on. Definately leave the carpet out in the sun for a while, or put it in your dryer for a cycle and lay it out flat when it's hot.
I glued in the trans tunnel and worked my way out, but still got in a hurry and missed a few holes. The key is to get the carpet to lay down nicely, and keep it there while you locate the holes, etc. If it is bunched up anywhere, your hole locations will keep it that way.
Good luck
