Is this real?

I was going to buy a 1996 RS camaro a while ago because I wanted to have a turbocharged v6 (for some reason). Anyway, I waited too long and now I don't have enough money for buying a camaro and a full turbocharging system.'

Although, my mom has 1994 3.8L mustang which is fun to drive, even though it breaks too damn much - I was looking around for turbo systems for the 3.8 and I found this...

http://www.3.8mustang.com/performanc...ewprod&num=104

Could you guys take a look at it for me and tell me if that kit could really boost me from 140 flywheel hp to 275-375hp at the wheels? I've never seen such a gain on a v6 from a turbocharging system, I was expecting more around 220rwhp.

Thanks, and sorry for asking you about fords, but all of thoes ford forums are full of idiots who talk trash about cars and claim they have $350,000 full race cars when they're still struggling with the 8th grade.

Yes, I believe that is real. F/I on the 3.8 mustang motor is becoming more and more common. Several members of that website are running ATI setups. They sell a nice self contained blower unit for a good price.

Needless to say, im jealous :P

However, I wouldnt add a blower or turbo to a 94' 3.8 until it had some engine work. You really need the split port intake from the 99+ motors for any kind of F/I to be useful. Dont forget to get some damn good head gaskets, too

As for the power gains, the ATI prochargers are said to boost the six cyl mustangs to around 300rwhp. This is with the split port intake. I think that the stock bottom end can handle it, too.

No idea about that turbo, though, as I have never heard of it. But I dont doubt that its real, and neither do I doubt the power claims they are making.

here's one

Go to the post "Got Boost" there is a link there to a guy who is running 5 pounds of boost and making quite a bit of power on a 3.4L. Doward on thi site is also a turbo guy. I forget what kind of numbers he made on the dyno the firstr time around (2.8L). Try doing a search, there are LOADS of posts about turbo V6 cars.

1) It's highly likely to give that kind of power output

2) It's neither thirdgen related nor thirdgen applicable.
