need some TTA opinions...
Well, I bought my first 3rd gen a year ago...89 Firebird 2.8L I thought the thing was great, my last car was a 96 328 conv. even. So I bought another 89 GTA 350 this spring. Well...it has no T-tops and I live in Cali so I'm selling it.
Anyways, I am looking either for:
1) 89-92 convertible TA 5spd w/ leather (hard to find I know) $7-8k range.
2) 89-90 GTA T-Top 305tpi 5spd w/ leather $6-7k(still hard to find)
or
3) 89 TTA $10-12k range. I see a sweet one in Indiana for sale here...
I just haven't read much or seen any TTA's so I don't know what to thing of them.
I don't know if I should just get a TTA cause they are easy to find, or if I can find either #1 or #2 choices and spend a few $k on the engine.
If you have owned or have driven a TTA let me know your thoughts on em, thanks. I'm not looking for a money eater like my BMW was.

TTA's will run 11's for ~#$1000.
Any turbo car isn't CHEAP, but if you take care of it, then it shouldn't be any more expensive than anything else, especially if you don't go around running high boost all the time.
If I were you, I'd get the TTA. I've wanted one since I first found out about em. They're an interesting conversation piece, and will suprise quite a bunch of people, especially once they find out it's a V6 that just walked them.

Yeah, I used to work in my father's engine shop. I just don't have a good garage, but I do my own brakes, suspension, minor work....

Seems like the upgrades come a lot quicker with the TTA as compared to other cars I've had. If you are gonna buy a TTA leave a deposit and ask the owner if he'll allow you to do a compression and leakdown test. while doing that you can go over the rest of the car. What injectors are in it , what turbo who's chip etc. Good luck whichever way you go.......
