Belt
Hey guys got a questions, i posted a few days ago about my belt falling off, well what had happend was a bolt fell out of the AC compressor making it drop down making the belt fall off. Well i put a new one in here but the dude at NAPA gave me a 5 gauge that broke off inside after onlye 3 days, so now i had my car towed back to my house because it couldnt make it back to the house wihtout overheating. My question is, my ac doesnt work anyways so is there anyway i could get another belt that would just bypass it or would the belt rub on itself, cause it seems that if you set it up that way the belt that runs from the alternator to the powersteering unit (instead of the alternator to ac to Power steering) rubs up against main drive pulley so it looks like it could wear if i do that. So am i going to just have to drill the bolt out in someway or can i just forget about the ac and bypass it thanks

my car has a sticker under the hood for routing the belt without the a/c compressor so it can be done. I've been thinking of doing it myself but I'm lazy and just spent $100 on shift kit and painting/sanding stuff for the car.

Go out and buy yourself a belt for non A/C cars. It's that easy, then follow the "W/O A/C" routing on your belt routing sticker on the rad support or wherever yours is.
After you do, could you let me know how this works out? If it works, I NEED to dump my A/C crap (it don't work and now the pulley bearings are going) and need a cheap alternative to the 1LE A/C delete pulley thing...

Just get rid of it then. I am not 100% sure, but I think you can get away with removing both the pump and the bracket, but I don't have a manual trans, so I don't have one. If the bracket has to stay, then just get rid of the pump, and if you have and are keeping your A/C, go out to Advance or somewhere and ask for a 915K6 belt (drive-rite brand, should be at both Advance and AZ but I am not quite sure of this). If you don't have A/C either, then ask for a non-A/C/non-smog belt.

What's the routing? Without the smog I'm pretty friggin sure they belt will hit itself which is why I was looking for the smog delete pully....

Not at all. The belt runs straight from the crank pulley to the alt pulley. Yes, it gets really close to itself as it runs off of the tensioner pulley, but if adjusted right, there should be at least 1/2" of clearance between the two parts of the belt.
