88 camaro stuff into an 85 help

Does any one know if the 88's have an air pump?
Because in the chiltons there not showing an air pump for 88's is this right?
I just wanted to know beause I was going to convert my emmisions system (what I decided to leave on the 88 just hapens to look a lot like an 88's system) and I was going to put the 88's ECU in there too. Mainly because it is about 10X faster.
All most all the stuff that got burned up for my 85 in the shop fire is giting replaced by stuff that is off an 88.
On the 88 and 85 all the sensors are the same all the controal devices are the same except the 85 has an air injection valve and the 88 has an air controal solenoid.
Those parts are there but they don't look like they do any thing, neather one is on the vacc diagram.
Does any one know what this thing does?

look on emissions tag. If it shows it, you got it. If not, you don't.
