and then there's a clunk noise

lets get some ideas together, car has a clunk noise....it's coming from the tranmission tunnel, only when i hit a bump....

It doesn't sound like a tranny mount, as those will make noise when u accelerate hard, not just when you go over a bump.

The u-joints will make noise when i put the car in gear (they've done it for years and years) however they've never made a noise when hitting a bump, and this only happens when i hit a bump, not between any gear shift.

My transmission torque Arm has a busted mount (i know it moves up and down) could it be possible that when the car goes up and down rapidly that the torque arm is moving alloing it to hit the bottom of the tranny tunnel? and this is where i'm getting the bumping noise?

I'd like to know to give some piece of mind, i'm pretty sure it's not serious or anything, more or less anoying, and probably hurting some performance....might see how hard it is to get that thing fixed up, but just trying to figure out what's going on.
