i run accel 8mm wires, some people don't like them but i haven't had any problems with them. MSD cap and rotor...get one for a 94 s-10 with a 4.3; that's probably not the only year that'll work but i know that it will. most powerful cam...you still planning to drive on the street?? roller tip rockers, you can use V8 ones. you'd probably be better of to get full roller rockers though. i used V8 'Z28' valve springs with stock retainers and all.

Crane makes a mechanical roller cam and roller lifters for our V6's. it looks very mean.
Your not going to gain much power by spending $600 on a cam , lifters, springs and other parts unless you have some bad *** porting and polishing done.
You will have to get the valve guides machined if you want to run more than .480'' lift.
I think roller tip rockers are a wase of time and money just get full roller rockers there worth it.
I have some part #'s for crane roller rockers on my car domain site in the sig. Near a picture of the roller rockers.
Your Best valve springs all depends on your cam and total valve lift. You don't want to run to much spring pressure on what ever type of lifter you are useing.
The Retainers you need all depends on what springs you get and what your springs need for installed hight..
You will need valve locks and I don't think you will want to reuse the stamped stock 7 degree locks, you can also use locks to alter your installed hight more if you need to. You can By locks with eather stock, + or - .050'' intstalled high.
There are 4 comen lock/retainer types standard 7 degree, 10 degree, super7 and super10 (super locks and retainers come mainly from compcams)
You have 11/32'' valves that's what kind of locks you will need, but they have to match your retainers.
You will need or want say, super7 locks for 11/32'' valves and you will need retainers to match your locks. and the springs and retainers also have to match and the springs will have to match your appication. All that has to come together to get you idel spring installed hight.
That's what you will be looking at for a high pro build up.
Super10 locks and retainers are the strongers type you can buy off the shelf. You most likely won't need them.
You will want super locks if you have big cam with a lot of spring pressuer needed to keep the valves under controal.
You can buy locks made of stamped steel, forged steel or super locks made of eather of those plus Titanium like I have for my Z28 build up.
Retainers can be made of stamped steel machined forged steel or Titanium alloy (mainly retainers for super locks).
Like I have titanium super7 locks with +.050'' installed hight, 8 sets of locks are for 5/16'' stem valves on the intake and the other 8 sets of locks are for 11/32'' stem valves on the exhaust and have the same installed hight as the other locks. Then titanium super7 retainers with + .100 intallled hight all around, the retainers are for 1.460'' duel springs. I put all this stuff together off ebay because I know what I am doing and I know how to put together a valve train. The only real unkown to me for that engine is the push rod length.
