throttle problem
ive posted on this before, but didnt get much. i have a sticky throttle cable/pedal. its not the throttle itself, because if i disconnect the cable at the TB, there is no problem. if i tap the pedal to the side or lift up on it, the idle drops back to normal. ive noticed there is a lot of slop on the pedal. it can move side to side up and down, about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. does anyone else have this ever?

I haven't driven my car for a while, but I seem to recall the gas pedal being sloppy. If it is not a problem at the throttle body (i.e. the return spring or a sticking throttle blade) then it might be the cable itself. You might try pouring some lubricant into the throttle cable casing and working it in. Otherwise, check to see if there is another spring on the pedal itself that is causing the problem (not sure if there is one there or not).
