we only have one cam, so many people say "cams" and i always think of imports... anyways, i've never heard of a forged cam or a 'non' forged cam. all cams are hardened steel as far as i know. you don't have to pull the engine to change it either. it helps to have the radiator out but the engine can stay in the car.

Did my swap with radiator in the car, had to drop the fan, that's it. MANY companies make 60* cams for 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4. Try Crane, CRower, Melling and search around for other companies. Cost isn't an isssue in effectiveness, look at the lift duration numbers and educate yourself on what valvetrain componets will have to be changed along with the cam you choose.

ARI also makes one cam for 138.48 with a 204 214 duration .050 1500-4000 RPM that will work with the computer controls

Cams are made of cast iron for flat tapets and roller cams are made of hardened steel.
If you ever hear any one talk about a forged cam they don't know what they are taking about. I guess you could make a steel roller cam out of a peace of forged stock. But there is no point, there would be no gain what so ever from a forged cam the only big difference would be cost.
Our cars only have 1 cam and it is made of cast iron.
The cams you will buy will be made of cast iron.
Steel and flat tapets arn't a good mix.
There are cams for our cars as mild as stock all the way to drag race/ circle track only cams.
There are a lot of different cams out there, how much power do you want to make?
How much do you have to spend?
