how do i get this off?

How do i get the connector off the fan sensor/switch thats located in the passenger side head (at the back of the block)?

Just squeeze the sides of the connector at the wide area and pull it off. It has locking tabs in the sides of it.

Thanks. Now how do I test this connector (using my voltmeter?) to make sure it is working. I think that my fan is NOT turning on.
