quick question

i wanted to throw in a blazer 4.3 liter instead of a 2.8...and wondered if its possible to install a MPFI on it....just curious

No. the 2.8 is a 60 degree motor and the 4.3 is exxentially a SBC (90 degree). To use the MPFI, you would need alot of fabrication.

I've had the same idea for a little while now. As MDV6 said, it would require a lot of fab, if it is even possible. I'm not sure what year the 4.3 is, but if it's a TBI, you can probably put the CPI system on there. I believe you would need a different ECM and a few other things. I've heard the real restriction are the heads if you don't have the Vortecs. I know you can swap them over as well, but again, I don't know the specifics. Go to a couple of S-10 sites. They'll be able to help you out.

for the amount of work a 4.3 is its better just to put in a 350, because the 4.3 is basically a 350 without 2 cylinders

From what I hear, the only extra work required is relocating the motor mounts. And there are additional advantages to using a 4.3. Less weight, better weight distribution, gas mileage--questionable, sleepyness---It looks exactly like a 2.8--------at least the S-10 2.8s---- and you'd have a unique setup. One of the biggest problems is aftermarket mods. There isn't a lot offered for 4.3s.
