2.8L Intake Manifold to 3.1L Intake Manifold...

Ok so I did a search first and came up with nothing. Now my question is if there is a difference between the intake manifolds for 2.8s and 3.1s. I want to port my intkae manifold but I don't want to lose my daily driver while I work at it. So are they the same?

3.1 Has a vac port for the MAP sensor.

I belive the mounting where the TB goes is different.

the mounting looks a little different but they are interchangable.

where is the vacuum port on the 3.1 that the 2.8 intake doesn't have?

the 3.1s have two fittings in the back. the "T" and a single port. the single goes to the MAP sensor.

IF ya need to seek out a MPFI unit, also try a FWD of same early years. I believe up to 1987 is the cutoff for same stuff under those hoods.
It may be a direct replacement for a 2.8 unit.
