noisy pulleys?

i got this annoying chugging noise thats been coming from my car for a while this winter. i figured it was the pulleys so i sprayed some wd40 between them all and the noise stopped for about 10kms. it may be the a/c pulley. is there any real good fix for this noise?

if its the A/C, chances are the bearings are going out on the compressor.

Two saturdays ago I was fixing a similar problem with the AC, power steering and water pump belt.....it was loosen, so I tight it up, and the knocking noise went out.......I thought that it could be the water pump....thanks *** it was not the problem.
