I'm looking for the years that the following came on: A/C hard line from drier to condenser. Horizontal at both ends. Must have provision for A/C high pressure switch. Is 88 the only year?
(By the way, should anyone have one, I'm interested)

Exactly which hard line are you looking for?The drier/accumulator is on the low side of the system.
The condenser is on the high side of the system.
So there is no direct connection between the two.

Shows you what I know about A/C systems. I need the line that goes to the condenser, which is the only hard line and which is the line that makes provision for the high pressure switch, right?

I hoped to go to the bone yards armed with more than one year or vehicle type in order to make my search a bit easier--these are apparently no longer available from GM.

IF you find a V6 in a yard, you'll find that part. Yes being in SOCal makes for ALL CARS to have AC but very very very few people even on this board have cars without factory AC.
Don't doubt even V8 rides will work, too for your part search.
Bring a TWO large adjustable wrenches to remove hose.
Seek out NEW "O" rings for sealing system best.
