T5 swap FINALLY finished

WOOT, Today I finally finished my t5 swap. Most of you dont know, but, everything that could have went wrong, did go wrong for me.

Got a bad tranny, bellhousing with stripped hole, used hydros were bad, didnt know the tq-arm mount was different, never could find proper vss drive gear, getting my custom shifter late..., and them doing it wrong, Flywheel hitting starter, didnt align clutch disk with piolite hole right, etc. Litterly, I think EVERYTHING went wrong.

Today, I finally finished it, started on 1-1-05. Took almost 2 months.

I must say, this is now a fun car to drive again. Even with the wrong 3.23 gears in the rear end, I feel an added amount of power. OOO how I missed the rumble of the exhaust, raw fuel smell, and the vibration thru the seat. Time to go clean up and enjoy this semi cool weather were having today

Wow, very cool swap there. Sorry to hear about all the problems though, I think you really may have encountered every bump in the road there. You feel that the swap was worth the effort/trouble???

Let me drive it a bit more before I answer that

Its still got a few "glitches" to work out. Like the new shifter that came apart while driving over to my friends house No backup lights, inspection shield still off. I want my shifter lower, recheck all bolts. And I think that plastic bushing under the shifter is worn. Its still a bit sloppy on shifts.

OO, dont forget the 3.42 gears and posi sitting in storage that still needs to be installed.

Problems problems problem- But you kept at it and worked through them. Great job and persistance. How many would say srcew it after that and just put the 700r4 back in there.

The V6 was meant to be a stick.
