V6 Aluminum driveshafts?
I was wondering if they exist for an 1989 2.8L and if there is a large difference? I know it weighs a bit less and rotational mass is something like 10:1 so I figure it could be a worthy investment. I'm looking to make my car a bit faster (not a race car by any means). I can do the labor myself too.

Only time a v6 got an alum shaft was if the orginal owner complained of vibration.
The v8 alumn driveshaft only weights 1lb less then the smaller diameter v6 shaft. Cheapest I can find a v8alum shaft for is 150. Not worth it to me.

It would be the same as the v8 alumn shaft. As I said, they only got installed when someone would bring the car in complaining of vibration. No v6 came from the factory with an alumn shaft.
