Somebody please help!!!!!

So this is what I got.

I start the car up and it is fine. No Idle surge nothing. Warms up Idles fine as well. The problem is whe I hit the brakes to slow down. As the RPMs decrease it will surge. When the car has almost stopped completely it will jump from about
500 rpm - 1500 rpm and then it will eventually even out. Just cleaned the TPS sensor, and all the ignition stuff is less than a year old (plugs, wires, coil, cap, rotor).

What I recently did to the car (today 3/7/04) Was install a set of Edelbrock Valve covers (No Baffles). Could it be my PCV Valve sucking up oil? But if it was wouldn't the car run crummy all the time? I really need help guys I am leaving on a trip to orlando on friday and I don't want the car to die on the way up. Please Help...

Fellow F-body owner in need!!!!

It worked fine before you installed valve covers?

I say you have a vaccume leak.

You cleaned the throttle positionin sensor, so I assume you cleaned the entire throttle body. If not, then do that becasue my car did the same thing and a TB cleaning fixed it right up. But Dale has a point, does kinda sound like a vacume leak. Did you use all new gaskets when you reasembled the TB? If not then that could be your problem.
