Symptoms of a dying tranny?

Can anyone please list some symptoms of a dying tranny? I got the engine to run great but something doesnt feel right in the shifting department....Almost like a slippage at times, and other times like it just doesnt want to go. I know it is a 3.1 and all but I know the power my engine had and I can tell something is missing...

Any clues? Atleast I got the vacuum leak fixed.

do the RPMs flare up when it shifts? Thats pretty vague... what gears does it do it in? All? Check fluid? One of my camaros was bein funky and it turned out to be the fluid

You'll notice teh 3-4 shift isn't right.
Once you notice that you're on your way out.
PS you do have the better tranny for rebuilding, lucky good starting point for ya!
