fun at a dealership

so check this out right

my girl takes my car upto the local ford dealer for some diag stuff on it (seem to have good luck with this dealership and service so i don't mind) they turn around and tell her that my car is only going to run for about 2 weeks or so, kinda odd though when i asked to see a paper on it they told me it didn't exist, however my car was throwing a whole bunch of codes out (i hooked up a jumper wire to have it link at me) and the only one i got was a 22 which is the TPS, also the team leader when he brought my car around said that he hasn't seen my car until he got it himself and the other mechanic had gone home already and didn't report anything to him about it but from what he could tell in the 5 seconds of drive it was that i had an exaust leak(which i'll admit to), i was burning oil (which i highly doubt), and that it was going to die real soon,

beautiful A good mechanic is impossible to find. out hear in IL they want $200.00 just to hook it iup to diognostis. $90 for the hookup and $110.00 for one hour shop rate. These dealerships are getting as bad as lawyers

never take a car that old to a stealership.

i had them try to break my car so id buy a new one.

fine a good reputable mechanic that works on older cars, and he can probably fix yours in less time for alot less $$$

or learn to do it yourself.

if you have autozone's in your area they'll do a code scan at least for free and tell you what it is and all that. As far as diag just click the lil ole search button on here and find out what you broke for free.

i don't see why not, the only thing of it is you must read the code from the blinking SES light instead of however the scanner puts it out. the light will blink once and have a brief blank and then blink twice quickly for code 12. it will do this 3 times. if you do not recive a code 12 your ECU is bad, or your bad at reading codes. then after the 3 code 12s the real codes will start going. ex. blink....blink....blink....blink.blink.blink.blink. blink....blink....blink....blink.blink.blink.blink. code 34.

there is also a tech article on how do do this somwhere.

So how does a Ford dealership sell GTOs (Pontiac)? That would really be interesting...
