Can you see the fuel neck from bottom?

Before I take it to a dealer, I was wanting to know if it is possible to see the filler neck on the gas tank from the bottom?I want to look where it is welded to the tank and see if its leaking there or maybe around the pump.I might have to drop the heat shield under the tank to maybe get a better view.Any comments?I have the stuff to take to show the recall on this tank.

there's a recall on the gas tank? Any particular problem you need to have to get the recall? I smell gas in my car 24/7, could be because there's a hole in the top of the tank but that's besides the point.

New gas cap.
Get your car on lift to see the filler neck, shouldn't be to difficult.
