Shameless Powersteering bracket plug

I am in need of either a part # of an early years (serpentine belt system) powersteering pump bracket for an '87 V6.

Now I would like to find one brand new and purchase it- this is my favorable route to take, but if they are not availiable does anyone also maybe have one laying around they would like to part with?

I would greatly appreciate a part # first so I can check for a new one, thanks for any help. I will look for a used one ONLY in the event I can no longer purchase a new one from GM- So In my book I think its OK to pimp one here since we are here to help eachother.

Mine has developed a vibration just off idle that has never existed in 13 years of owning this car. It must have developed a hairline crack.

Dean

Should be a 10048658 w/ A/C or 10048660 w/o A/C. GM Parts Direct doesn't list either.

Its kind of pointless to search for the crack when I can't TIG weld pot aluminum castings. My assumption has to be correct since I have just puled it all down and replaced the powersteering pump and retorqued everything thinking it was the pump itself- noise vibration is still there and I have reinstalled it like I have a dozen times over the years. DynoDon (Owns a 3rd gen repair shop here locally) told me it is very common that the brackets crack on any vehicles over time even the 454 trucks with steel brackets have cracked.

My bracket is bare aluminum also, not painted.

Thank you Apeiron for the part #'s, I do have A/C on this car. I'll have the wife call around today and she what she comes up with.

just because they don't list part numbers don't mean that they don't have any lying around in a warehouse, as i found out!

Well I finally isolated my vibration rattle just off ldle. Noise is so darn hard to trace under a running motor but I found the problem. it didn't do it all the time, and mainly when you are tryiong to get it to make noise.

Turns out the trans fluid lines were rattling against the oilpan at that aprox 1100 rpm level. It was worse when the A/C was on which is what was leading me to believe it was a bracket. It took time to finally track it down but problem sovled.

It was from when I installed the new BeCool radiator. The lines are pushed slightly closer to the oilpan than before due to the adapters needed to plug the lines into the aluminum radiator. The cause pressure on the lklines to bend slightly since they are about a 1/2" longer than previously. I just bent them away slightly fromthe motor and clamped them together better so they do not wobble together and vibrate.
