i don't know if it was the same or not, but the tpi unit will work no problems.
best bet is to go with a corvette fuel pump, metal gears inside not plastic

Well my friends motor was originaly a V6 MFI that the previous owner went with a V8 Carb... the V8 blew and now she is looking for options such as the LT1 swap which is why I am asking.
What a fun project!
IF IT WAS ME
I'd seriously evaluate the car & strongly consider selling the car and buying a car already done.
MOST MPFI V6 to carb'd V8 conversoins bring the disater already experienced.
A MODERN LT1 is a unique engine and it is so unique GM dumped them after a very short production run, which gave the world the "LS" series of engines.
I really think this person can do better by buying a car already done & just bring it up to performance of her liking.
TBI pressure is about 14PSI which is probably why you asked this question.
Carbs can "only take" 5-7PSI before "exploding (jets dislodging) with the too much fuel pressure".
MPFI pressure is 40-45 PSI.
My Blazer with 3.4 is going to be run by a TBI pump in gas tank (3.4 blocks do not have fuel pump provisions).
Reconsider the options and buy a car properly done by the GM assembly line.
