vented or non vented???

vented or non vented???

Hey guys this might be a stupid ? but I was wondering should I get a vented or non vented gas cap for my 2.8. And how would one know which to get. Does it matter?

Get a non-vented cap. Our EVAP and fuel systems are designed to vent through the canister so that less HC emissions escape from the tank.

Also, the non-vented kind don't go bad as often due to having less seals. The only seal you have to worry about is the outer o-ring and you can see when that is bad.
