Camshaft

I have heard dean talk about this cam before i was wondering if it is the best possible cam for my application. Im keeping stock compression and one day will turbo it but for a year it will be all motor. Does this cam have a nice lope at idle. How much hp and tq should i gain with this cam on a stock motor.

comp cam

With stock compression. that will be a bit of a big cam... It shouldn't be too bad, but you will need some PROM burning to really take advantage of it!

As for turbocharged... I think it'll do fine Make sure you have some headers when you turbo it, though, with a slightly larger than what-you-would-think turbine side (if you are thinking .48, go .63... if you are thinking .63, get a .70) You do not want large amounts of back pressure with that cam.

Go with a shift kit, then cam and then tuning. THEN turbo

Youll have yourself a trans am *** ripping 3.1!

Maybe a fuel pressure regulator after that? To add the extra fuel from the high flow intake/exhaust and cam and turbo..

You may want to get a high temp thermostat and hp chip with this cam. You can also order directly from comp cams

http://www.compcams.com/ or call 1-800-999-0853

You will save a few bucks and get the cam a little faster than ordering from Summit. I ordered mines straight from there and got it in a few days. Just a lil info to help you out.
