Engine: 242 DOHC and an empty engine bay.
Transmission: 5R55S, T5 soon to be auto
Axle/Gears: 3.58s and soon to be 4.10s
Help!!
What are the wires and such that are plugged into the intake manifold. Thers 2 of them right next to the T-stat. 1986 2.8 V6 Camaro. Making new intake and such so wondering if they are needed. Going to disassemble car now so input would be appreciated greatly. Thanks

The one with the black connector and black and yelow wires is for the ECU, it is for the coolant temp. Yes it's needed.
The other one, I'm not familar with, none of my vehciles had that. But looks to be a temperature sensing switch or sensor. Probably needed anyway.

So if I made a new intake manifold, how would I go about installing those? Just drill and tap some holes that the coolant runs threw?

pull the manifold and see what they hook into, then go from their, the cts will just need a hole drilled and tapped for it, the rest of them you will need to figure it out

The blue connector is the cold temperature switch to activate the cold start injector I believe. As someone said, it also goes into the coolant.
