more diagnosis on smoking out the exhaust.

round 1 https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=330051

Checked wires last night, no lightening storm.
Checked cap this am, still good
Changed the oil today(been needing to for a month)
Checked left front plug. while not perfect, I have pulled worse from running fine engines.
No engine codes... YET
I installed new plugs, they were carbon up
Spark is blue

More diagnois:
Swapped back to brand new oem coil, ran worse
fuel pressure off=40, running 36'ish, holds when turned off
MAJOR VACCUM LEAK!!!
Now knocking from #1 rocker area (always thought that was my headers loose)

So tommorow I get to rip the top half of the engine apart

I didnt use stock valve seals, and in fact I have them on both intake and exhaust.

I'm not smoking oil, I'm running way to rich some how.

Black smoke is rich and gray/blueish smoke is oil. Does it smell like smoke? Might be steam, which is naturally generated by an engine, it's just that older engines don't do it as much.

I know that you said you know it's not oil, but how? Just because everything is new doesn't mean it's not leaking.

I can't remember if you said or not, but does it smoke all the time?

The smoke smells like gas. The whole car does.

Its not oil because its white/gray, not blue, doesnt smell like it, and the oil didnt lower in the 5500 miles I didnt change the oil.

It mainlys smokes when you attempt to rev it up.

dadbird, yours sounds like bad injectors, or bad valve seals.

update:

intake rocker on #1 has pre-mature worn, was sitting on the rocker at an angle.

between the bottom to pieces of the intake, I dont think was sealled all the way.

Stock rockers going back on with new gaskets. Hopefully this will fix it.

New O2 sensor (yes, old one was freakin nasty)
Checked/reset TPS to .55 closed

BTW, AM91, my new laptop doesnt have the 12 pin plug on the back for the thing to plug into the car. Do they make a USB version, or can I get an adapter and make this 24'ish pin port work?
