request for a flame sticky

people being banned just pisses me off to no end.i dont care why they were banned, but i was raised in a country with FREE speech so i might be a little biased.

instead of people starting flame wars on tech topics, this would allow thirdgen members to argue without being abnned or messing up anyones tech post.and it eliminates the need for moderaters to edit posts for content[unless its misplaced content].

granted this isnt a tech issue, but this is a thirdgen memeber issue, and theres no point in abnning people with helpful info because they to someone to **** off.sometimes people need to be told to **** off.

i do think TGO could use a general discussion forum. the regional boards seem to be lax on the rules, and serve as a general discussion area for that region. at least the westcoast one (in a goodway, no offense or acusations toward its moderators). but since a "non tech only" forum will never happen again, if you need to tell somone to **** off do it with a Private Message.

if i posted some a-hole comment and we get into a flame war and both get banned, the board looses. but if i post an a-hole comment and then three people PM me and tell me to sod off i am going to get the hint, and the board will still get to bask in my genius ideas (like this one)

at least thats my

Problems / Help / Suggestions / Comments > ThirdGen.Org and a Non-Tech Board:
This covers your 'flame sticky' idea just as well. No non-tech. End of story.

If members don't want to be banned, they can follow the rules. Having the right to say anything you please does not, in any facet of your life, mean there are no consequences to what you say.
