Weird noise...

The last 2 days I noticed my car is making a weird bubbly noise, like water in a creek bubbly. Sounds like its coming from directly in front of me somewhere under the hood. Checked the radiator (my first thought was coolant so I looked) cant find any leaks anywhere. Car also reeks of gas when I turn it over, but only when I turn it over, like its running rich then a min later its fine. It was smelling like gas before I took it to a shop, I know my mechanic didnt touch anything fuel related, but I didnt smell anything for the first couple days then it slowly started creeping back...Anyone help?

come to think of it it smells vaguely of burning (oil?) only my oil level hasnt moved an inch in the last 2mo so idk. This smell tho, is coming only from the heaters, I dont recall smelling anything when my head was under the hood but I did smell it once I sat in my nice warm car. And no the smell isnt coolant, I hate the smell of that so Id know for sure if it was.

I do have a tranny leak, from the rear seal but its so small I havent added fluid since I got the car and its still full. I know its leaking just cuz every time I put it on a lift I wipe it clean then next time its up there there's fluid on it again. But this also means the leak is next to the exhaust so unless Im pulling some crazy *** moves it's not hitting that.

Im starting to wonder if something got dropped in a vent or in the defrost that's burning up. My friend (well he likes to smoke the green stuff) managed to "drop" some bud in the vent so every once in a while the car smells like it, so Im gonna hope its like just that crap burning up vs something under the hood. Actually I just dont know, if it has to do with my heater core I may be pissed having to replace that one if it craps out on me...
