I am building a strut tower brace for my 92 6cyl. I have been trying to figure out how much clearance I have over the throttle body. I tried laying a stick across the throttle body with some paint on it to see where the hood touches, to try to figure out how much clearance I have, but its really close. Plus, there are metal lines in front of either strut tower which are in the way.

Has anyone built their own stb for our cars, or are there aftermarket ones I can look at for references? Just trying to get some ideas of what other people have done. Oh, and one more question, does connecting it to the firewall help that much?

lots of guys have the $20 jamex bar. I do.
But installed mine on on its side and it still works very well and runs in front of the TB.
