Winter projects
Ok, so now that the bird is finally garaged for the winter, I have a couple questions before I start working on it. First is Im looking for a new cat, and someone had said you could get an aftermarket cat for around $50 for our V6s. I cant find anything under $100, regardless of what size it is. Any suggestions on where to look?
Also, anyone have suggestions for what type of paint to use on engine parts,ie valve covers and intake plenum? What kind of prep work should I do before painting these parts?
And finally, what else are you guys doing for projects this winter? I am going to be building a cold-air intake, port/polishing the intake and replacing the headliner in addition to the things already mentioned.

My winter project: deploying this monday night, but big $$$$$ socar will be finished when I get back (no more **** OH e-check in my area)
CAT: AZ sells replacements for about $60, universal catcos around $50
I painted my 2.8/3.4 covers w/500* engine paint. Also did the 3800 in same range (cardomain has pics of both engiens done up) I media blasted all my intakes before painted to make sure all that grease was gone.
See the v6 pgrade sticky for some good cai ideas
