So with the clutch failing on the Camaro and the rear main leaking on the 2.8 I am planning to pull it this summer and reseal etc. While it's out i can pep it up a bit, it is gonna be sitting at the track anyway, may as well run it! I have access to lots of Fiero goodies thru my brother so what would help me out from those motors. i have heard the heads are better for eg??? No big buck stuff but there is usually a leftover 2.8 from one of his swaps sitting around so what could I steal. Thanks for the help!

 

Really, just use the valve covers so that you can put 1.6 rockers on.

The rest is the same as ours, or totally different and wont swap.

If your going to pull it and rebuild it, Id suggest finding a used 3.1 or 3.4, rebuild IT, and drop it in. That way you can drive yours while you rebuild, and you gain a bit of power.
