what does LHO stand for??

what does LHO stand for??

im new so be gentle...i have a 91 rs 3.1 (type T) and ive noticed some postes on here that have engine's listed 3.1LHO.
is a LHO a special version of 3.1 or, are all 3.1 LHO??

LH0 is the RPO code for the 3.1 mpfi engine. All 3.1's in thirdgens(and most other gm cars) are LH0's

naft is correct, but I'll extend it more.

Every option on your car has a code, which is what the RPO is. LH0, LB8, LB9, B4C, IC5, F41, etc... I'm guessing about 100 or more codes, all 3 long.

The RPO for the 3.1 is LH0, not LHO.
