vacume presure

i have a 90 3.1 with cruse control and ac how much vacume should i read on a vacume gauge.

20 in. of vacuum is good on a new motor, but when the motor gets worn, anything above 16 is good. As long as it's arouns 16 and steady, don't worry about it.

Re: vacume presure

Make sure to read it at a small, ported vacuum source also...such as the FPR line, HVAC control line, etc. Don't try and read it from a bigger line like the brake booster, it'll read really low.
