now hot start problems
I swear, if it aint one thing its another
I now have hot start problems which I didnt have pre-camshaft swap.
1. flodded
2. air filter dirty
3. defective fuel/emissions systems
4. vac leak after warming up.
It will crank slowly, then fire. I can add a battery charger to it and it starts better. Yet I had battery/alt tested and they say ok. I'm going to go get a second opinion on that tommorow since them plans just got cancelled.
I know the car is running rich, but could it run so rich that it floods itself out, yet doesnt throw a code?
Any other ideas?

get the starter tested, AZ should be able to test all three on their machine, or at least I could when they had qaulity peeps willing to do that working there
Recheck your vacuum lines for cracks. Do you still have the factory hard lines, or were they replaced w/rubber vacuum lines. THe help section in parts stores should now carry hard line replacemet hose. (for the benefit of those that don't know)
also, preaching to the choir, check your plugs again. Aren't most hot/cold start probs usually traced back to the icm and/or coil?

Ddint think about the plugs, but I didnt mess with them during the cam swap.
Ok, fixing the valve cover leak, I created a vac leak.
Also, It appears these injectors leak. Spraying the oil off the car I have lost 17 lbs of fuel pressure.
Will attempt to fix these first, then see what it does.

new lifters that DIDNT come with the cam.
atleast they exchanged it. Now monday I'm going to contact the mfg and see if they will refund me a gasket set and few hours of work.
