91rs 3.1 fan switch

does the 1991 3.1 rs have a fan switch on the passenger side head that grounds to turn on fan, or is the fan controlled by ecm.
my chiltons/haynes diagram shows the dark green/w wire going to ecm and no fan switch at all.

My '91 Firebird's fan is controlled by the ECM. No switch in the Pass. side head. I assume the Camaro is the same.

When I first got the car the fan would run all the time when the key was on. Someone had grounded the Grn/Wht wire, I spliced in a switch in the ground wire so I could turn it off, and reconnected the relay to the ECM. Seems to work fine controlled by the ECM though, so I don't know why they had grounded it.

Thanks, thats what i thought...
So they had cut the dark green/white stripe wire at the relay , and and ran it instead to ground?

Yup! Like I said, I don't know why they did that, it works just fine controlled by the ECM.
