Car: '86 Firebird

Engine: 2.8L MPFI

Transmission: Automatic

2.8 MPFI starts but will not run

Just got this car, 86 firebird with engine from an 87 camaro. The car will start, but shuts down on releasing the key from start position. Anyone had this problem or know of issues? Alternator connections, distributor connections are good.

Axle/Gears: stock

Ignition switch is bad
