Help!

My car is not idling/idling very ****ty. I checked the timing and it was right where i set it last year 12BTDC. When the engine is cold it will start. When its hot I can't get it to turn over. After I tried starting it a few times when it was hot I noticed smoke coming out of my intake. What is going on??

Can't get it to turn over? That sounds like a battery/starter issue, like your starter solenoid is dying. Get a volt meter and check the voltage at the starter while someone else turns the key and see what you have.

As far as smoke coming out the intake, is it possible you have some crankcase vapor there while cranking?

I really doubt there is anything SERIOUSLY wrong here. Just be patient and check all the basics.

My starter has plenty of juice to turn the motor but the motor doesn't want to go.

When I do get the car running it is lacking power. It just keeps wanting to die.

If and when you can get it to start, check it with a timing light- it is possible your distributor has turned OR your timing chain has jumped a couple notches.

So when it is hot it barely cranks or cranks super slow I take it?

I think he's saying that the engine turns over normally, it just won't start when hot. He had a bad choic of words in the first post.

What color is the smoke? It sounds to me like you have a problem with backpressure because of a clogged cat or it's flooding.
