Anyone thought about the 4.3L Swap?
Anyone thought about the 4.3L Swap?
My Firebird is a pos slow V6 and i want to try something different. I've read the 3800 swap is a total waste so what about the 4.3L Swap? Has anyone tried it? Could it be any worse then the 3800 swap?
Before anyone says "Just go with a V8".. Nah. Want to be different but if the swap is impossible i do have a forged 302 sitting in my garage.

I've heard that it's basically a V-8 minus to cylinders and that it is basically the same as swapping in a V-8 as far as labor and time goes. I'm sure more peopel will add stuff to that though

3800 a total waste??????? you haven't asked the right questions. Now that I cain afford a programmer to take care of the main issue, the 305 is almost done.

Does nobody use the search button anymore? There was a thread on this, in detail, about 2 days ago.
