v6 or v8, that is the question...

im still debating on what to do with the motor, i dont really care if its an all out speed demon, id be happy to run in the 15's i suppose with my 2.8.

would this setup get me there? currently its a mostly stock 2.8 with 72k miles. i have twin k&n's, dynomax 2.5" cat back, 3.42s. underdrive pulleys
now heres what im thinking of doing....
accel replacement 15lb injectors
pacesetter coated headers
high flow cat
comp or edelbrock cam, lifter, pushrods, and timing kit
get the heads cleaned up...what kind of peformance work can i do with the stock heads?
trans go shift kit
maybe a b&m megashifter
some type of torque converter...any ideas?
intake manifold porting worth it?
3.73 gears if necessary to obtain my goal (14's would be nice)
cut the smog crap, and the remaining ac garbage
what kind of power do yall think this would make compared to stock?

Like i posted in another thread. The 4.3L V6 swap would be good but for the same money you can have a V8.
