I'm at a total lost with this car(91firebirdw/3.1). the computer poped up the TPS and air flow sensor so i replaced them it doesn't stall any more but you cant give it gas and it idles like **** at around 3 to 4 hundred, and it still comes up with codes for those. but when i spray starter fluid in it it run fine I'm thinking it has a fuel problem. i dont thin its the fuel pump because it never hummed. i have never had one go completely out. i am just trying to get it to run so i can sell it for more money but i dont want to spend alot to have it not work either. any advice would be helpful,. i was just reading another post that said stuff about the spark plugs i tested mine and number 3 and 5 didn't effect the engine when removed, but they spark, i replaced them the day before it did this i used the Bosh 2 things they said not to cap them, i also cleaned the distributor and checked the spark plugs there and there was sparks all around. also took off the air manifold and it was filthy. if the engine was gummed up would that do it

first things first.make sure u have all the spark plug wires on in the right order, and puched onto the dizzy and plugs till they click on.see if that changes anything.also did u make sure that u adjusted ur tps right.u can cheack with a volt metter,at with the engine off probe the signal wire on the tps one wire is a ground, another is a 5 volt reference wire.this wire will always have 5 volts, with the key on.the other wire is the signal wire and the voltage will be between .20-.90 with the throttle closed, and as u open the throttle the voltage should increase.at wot the voltage should be between 4.50-5 volt.i may be wrong but 91's dont have a mass airflow sensor, they have a map sensor instead
the wires are in the right order and all connected. ill check the TPS tomarow but i do i do if its wrong? an dthanks for the corection all my other cars had MAF but i replaced the MAP sensor thank agian

number two and number five didnt effect the running? IF they have spark, maybe they dont have fuel or compression.
