any1 tried the small nitrous additive?
I saw this one small bottle of nitrous(octane booster)
in the store for like 3bux.. and it says its not street legal
but treats up to 20gallon and it really works!(thats what's writteN)
now if i pour that in into my car.. which is street driven, put the fact that it wont be legal but
will it eat my gas like crazy or will it break down my pistons?
and with the nitrous inside if i drive it like just commuting,
will i go like ultra fast everytime i leave the stop light or something?
or only when i race?(like full throttle situation?)
thanks for any insights in advance

its the same **** as the cheap 89 cent bottle of octane booster, the only diff is it has the "nos" name on the bottle, and they throw in some other chemicals depending on which one u buy,one of them has like nitro or something in it,but its such a small amount of whatever they put in it,it will never make a difference,if u want something to pour in ur tank that may do some good, get a bottle of fuel injector cleaner every oil change

One of the tuner magazines did an article on a few different octane boosters and found two of them will actually raise the octane level by as much as two points, the NOS brand being one of them. Of course, you can also just dump in a bit of toluene to achieve the same thing.
Big deal. So what. Who cares?
If a car is designed to run on 87 octane and it is, in fact, running just fine on 87 you will gain nothing by running 89 octane, 91 octane, or dumping in a bottle of octane booster. It's just a waste of money. You are far better off just keeping your car in a good state of tune and running the proper gas.
