looses power when it warms up

looses power when it warms up

posted this else where on the forum was told to try here so here it goes
1986 firebird 2.8 auto
lots of power when it is cold but as it warms up it looses power why would this be?
also what cam would give me the best power out of stock motor links would be good

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Had a similar problem once. Replaced the o2 and coil. Fixed it. Never did figure out which one was causing the problem though. Could be something totally different though on yours. Those are a few possible causes though.

it could also do something with the coolant... ie: the computer ignores most sensors until it warms up to say 160*

I replaced o2 sensor thinking thats what it was not sure if it help much i found a big crack in the radiator so I need to fix that now then it is going to get a tune up and see if that helps just got car like 2 weeks ago so not sure what all has been done to it
