I dont know about the 95 models ,but basic function of EGR would be similar to older ones.if the EGR fails in the open function your car will run like $#!..and maybe die at stops. If it fails in closed function you should make it but the car might run hotter then normal.Me personally would just get it checked out.

The ODB2 system goes into close mode (which means its reading all sensors) faster then odb1.

Depending on how the EGR is failing. It may run fine and just drink a little more gas. It may run like total crap.

Part is 200 bux new, or about 35-45 at junk yards.

Ha my car with no problems or bad sensors gets 20-25 when im out of the gas. I find it pitiful that my brothers 305 gets almost the same gas mileage, of course mine is 99% intown stop to stop driving and he can get away without using darn near WOT to get moving decently.
But thats only if i granny away from the light like every one else. if i go all out i probably only get 10-12MPG never measured it tho i just now that my gas gauge drops noticeably.

I just drove 1000miles and filled up I think 3 times the whole way, had half a tank left when I stopped. about 25mpg. get way less than that city driving.
