I've driven from Daytomn to Plain City (jsut outside of Columbus, then to Marion, just west of Plain City, then back. About 1hr there & back. This was w/the 3.4. ABout 15mins from Marion coming back bird cuts out for 10mins onthe road, & injectors decide to cycle themselves for about 30secs. That was strike 2 (due to teh great fire of '03). Still working on tuning the bird now, but have gone 8miles one now in it.

I've done Northern Los Angeles County(Santa Clarita, CA) to Salton Sea Beach (South of Palm Springs, CA) many times in mine and daily drive 64 mi round trip with mine. Just hit 257K mi and still getting 25mpg with the A/C on.

The longest trip mine has been on though is from Los Angeles to Sierra Vista, AZ and back...not a single hiccup the entire trip

longest trip with my GTA was from bellingham WA where i bought it (20 minutes south of Canada) back to portland.

longest trip with my 1986 2.8... there have been a few. Portland OR to Los Angeles CA. longest mialage. Portland to Klamathfalls and back in ONE DAY, with no break. longest timewise. trip took aproximatly 14hrs. i followed my brother down in his truck (doing 50MPH the whole way) and then we both shared the driving back up. i have made a few trips to kfalls and back with it. i also drove it up to the bellingham area about a month ago to get the T5 for my GTA.

i have never had a problem with the 86 while on a long trip, thankfully. i drove my GTA up to everete (about 20 miles above seattle) a few weeks ago with cascadecrew (local club) and was plagued with starter issues the whole time. but nothing major.

i LOVE driving fbodies on the freeway. it is nice to get out on the open road.
