trouble in texas

i have a 88 rs 2.8 mpfi v-6,i ported the intake plenum, and manifold, also coolant by-pass on throttle-body i detached, looking to run cooler. and it does, but now i moved to a state where it has to pass inspection for emmissions, and it failed, would these mod's effect the high o2 , and rich fuel mixture conditions i got when it failed? and if anybody know's where i can take it now to pass in the dallas area,,,, that would help......

i think the TB bypass could. i could be wrong. ive been **** deep in physics all day and im too stressed to think straight. but changing the intake air could change the A/F mixture and change the o2 reading as far as i can think.... or maybe i just need the bar after 7 hours of this crap. lol

if you were closer to houston i could help you, just tell the inspector that you have a question about something on the car, and take him/her out there and tell them your car wont pass, and that theres a twenty in the glove box for them when you get your sticker. they usually bite.

when was the last time the oxygen sensor was replaced? I'd look into replacing that if it's still the stock sensor.
