would a swap up to a 305tbi with transmission be a good swap depending on the price. the car is shot to hell its rusting out under the gas tank and in the fender walls...the car runs good a pretty smooth ride...i guess i just want to get some feed back on what would be a good price to pay for this and if it's an 'upgrade' worth investing in...thanks

 

ask in one of the V8 areas.

Edit: just reread your post and no if the car is shot and all rusty you would save a LOT of money and Lots of work by just buying a V8 car. the only valid reason of going through the crap of swaping the cars engine to a V8 is if you have done a interior restoration, suspention rebuild, or mabe a new paint job. other than those reasons mabe great sentimental value but it dont sound like you care that much about the car.

 

well you're right i really don't care about the 305 car, and i do care for mine, the 2.8...the 305 is gonna end up being parted out by my mechanic and that's why he called me about the engine and trans. to see if i was interested...also he is a real close family friend so the price to do it will not be an arm and a leg and he has the parts i would need to mount the stuff in...also like i said before the car works and everything on the engine, even the a/c will come with the purchase...sorry though not trying to be a pain...

i guess i want some feedback on if a 305tbi is worth buying or not
